As the tangerine Sun waved a goodbye,

seated on the porch, I smiled as a reply,

wrapped in the cozy layers of memories,

flipping the sepia-tinted album of imageries,

& revisiting the scrapbooks kept in the drawers,

lost in thoughts of fun-filled yesteryears,

the years of youth will never return now,

the layers of wrinkles will never disappear now,

my forlorn heart, aches & pain within surfaces,

a silent tear, drops as the russet leaves from the tree fall,

a harbinger of change, this season has a message for all,

magical autumn beckons & a consciousness dawns

change is the only constant that the Universe truly conspires,

death can be a new beginning if truly embraced,

the amber-stained change can also be celebrated!
